Issues

Steven pledges to examine all issues that come before him and analyze how they will affect Ward 1 and the township. His primary goals will be to:

Promote open and accessible government.
Keep residents informed through web site, e-mail and town meetings.
Improve zoning to preserve open spaces and attract quality investment.
Promote the development of destination places within Abington Township in established commercial areas, such as movie theater, family entertainment places, recreation centers, performing arts center.
Encourage responsible revitalization with minimal impact to our residential neighborhoods.
Enhance the relationship between the school board and the commissioners to encourage better communication and cooperation.
Continue to support our police and volunteer fire departments to keep our neighborhoods safe and secure.
- Promote the achievements of these two departments to gain recognition for their dedication and sacrifice.
- Assist the police department to alert Ward 1 residents of issues that affect them.
- Work with the fire department to inform the residents of Ward 1 how to make their homes and properties safer.
Develop strategies that deliver first-class services without raising taxes.
