Issues

Steven pledges to examine all issues that come before him and analyze how they will affect Ward 1 and the township. His primary goals will be to:

Promote open and accessible government.
Keep residents informed through web site, e-mail and town meetings.
Improve zoning to preserve open spaces and attract quality investment.
Promote the development of destination places within Abington Township in established commercial areas, such as movie theater, family entertainment places, recreation centers, performing arts center.
Encourage responsible revitalization with minimal impact to our residential neighborhoods.
Enhance the relationship between the school board and the commissioners to encourage better communication and cooperation.
Continue to support our police and volunteer fire departments to keep our neighborhoods safe and secure.
Develop strategies that deliver first-class services without raising taxes.
- Develop new strategies designed to lower taxes while delivering first class services.
- Use proactive thinking and planning to eliminate wasteful spending.
- Work to attract quality investments and responsible redevelopment that will lower the tax burden on local residents.
- Eliminate hidden fees.
- Keep taxpayers informed of how their money is spent.
