BiographySteven was appointed to the Abington Township Planning Commission in January 2005, primarily because of his land planning and development background. He has been instrumental in creating a better communication path between the work performed on the planning commission and the Board of Commissioners. He has been involved in reviewing, revising and authoring new and existing zoning ordinances. Steven is a member of the Abington Township Comprehensive Planning Committee, which is currently working on rewriting the comprehensive plan and he is very active in the land use, economic development and traffic subcommittees. He is also a member of the Old York Road Corridor Study Steering Committee formed by State Representative Josh Shapiro. Steven was instrumental in designing the competitive bidding process and soliciting proposals from consulting teams to produce a study which will make recommendations on the revitalization of the Old York Road Corridor in Abington Township. He just completed interviewing the consulting teams and making a recommendation to the Board of Commissioners, which was approved by the full board.Steven earned an architecture degree from Temple University in 1989. He is a registered architect and a partner in Regan Construction Company, Inc. and Regan Kline Cross, LLC. Regan Construction Company is a general construction, construction management and development company and Regan Kline Cross, LLC, is an architecture, interior design and land planning firm. Both are located in Glenside, Abington Township.
Steven and his wife, Janet, have been residents of Abington Township for nearly ten years. They have twin children who will start first grade in the fall at Rydal Elementary School.
